It’s time to release. Actually, it’s time to observe a release.

War, guns, murder, fat, shame. Is there a day that goes by that you aren’t in the midst of far-flung negativity and depressed energy?  Responding with love and positive action is what we all hope will be our default, but what if something else is coming up?

On Facebook there are debates, on Instagram there is skinny AND fat shaming, and in your own mind there is a machine spitting out crippling sentences that didn’t even originate from your own being.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been observing this food fight for the past few weeks and really seeing what goes on in my body and in my mind. The more awareness I gain, the more I can actually see it happen. In real time.Rachel Archelaus Intuitive Art - Observe the Release

It’s illuminated why I don’t wear a certain dress anymore and why I haven’t reached out to a new potential marketing partner. It’s the voices and the news around me that say: “you aren’t good enough for that.” Even with all of my years of enlightened practices, they still appear.

There is an up side to this though, it’s that I can see them. I can follow their arch across my mind and I can now see the reaction in myself that is not grabbing that dress, not calling that person, not getting in my car and going after that opportunity. I can see the pattern and that means that it no longer runs me unconsciously.

I am now the observer. And my response can be a conscious one.

So if you are experiencing pain, discomfort, hyper-sensitivity, depressed mood, or any other feeling related to the news, your thoughts, or other surfacing trauma, know that your job is to watch it come up and wave goodbye as it leaves you.

You don’t have to do anything else.

The magnet will drag it to the surface and the wind will carry it away for you.

Once you are freed of the density, more of your natural loving response will appear.  You’ll feel less bogged down and have much more energy to respond in a light and helpful way.  There is no right or wrong here, by the way.  So try and stay away from judgment of either scenario.

Optional homework for this observational assignment is to hold a party for yourself. Congratulate yourself for carrying such a load. You contributed to the clearing of humanity with your loyal duty to those destructive thoughts. And you deserve a reward.

Better yet, pass this message on to a friend. Tell them that they have done their work and now they get to relax.

Understand that you are everything, not just the wound up, stressed out doing part of you.

And give yourself a break.
